Discover the joy of dyeing your own yarn and create stunning custom colors in just one day! Our Yarn Dyeing - 1 Day Immersion Workshop is your gateway to the vibrant world of yarn dyeing. Led by the highly skilled and experienced yarn dyer and fiber artist Nicole Frost, this hands-on workshop will equip you with a variety of techniques, including: - Kettle Dye: Master the art of dyeing yarn with rich, solid colors. - Speckle Dye: Add playful pops of color using this easy technique. - Direct Application for Forced Pooling: Create mesmerizing self-patterning effects. - Resist Dye: Explore creating unique patterns by controlling dye uptake. - Ombre Painting a Sock Blank: Learn to paint a beautiful gradient effect perfect for creating one-of-a-kind socks! The learning goes beyond the workshop! You'll take home a valuable toolkit to continue your dyeing adventures: - A laminated color booklet of dye swatches for all major brands - your personal color reference guide. - 3 syringes for precise dye application. - Dye samples to experiment with at home. - 5 skeins of your very own custom-dyed yarn - a vibrant reminder of your newfound skills! Coupons cannot be used About the Instructor Nicole is a yarn dyer and fiber artist with almost 20 years experience creating hand dyed yarn and making magic with color. Frost Yarn was born in Nicole's father’s studio kitchen in 2008 with fisherman’s wool and food coloring. Newly sober, she latched onto yarn like a woman shipwrecked on an island. Yarn was her salvation and she went shop to shop peddling her Kool-Aid dyed, hand spun yarn. Nicole's husband Martin is her biggest fan and cheerleader, and with his support Frost Yarn grew from one woman furiously dyeing in her kitchen to working with some of the most talented fibre artists in the world and teaching dye workshops around the globe. As Frost Yarn has grown, so has Nicole's family and their love for the Fibre Arts. Cancellation Policy
Our Policies: Please arrive 10 minutes early for your workshop. Workshops start on time. If you are more that 15 minutes late for your class, you may forfeit your chance to take the class. You may cancel for a refund up to 20 days before the workshop. After that, workshop fees are not refundable or transferable. You may reschedule for a different workshop up to 15 days before the workshop, and up to 7 days if for the same workshop within the following 3 months. We reserve the right cancel or reschedule a workshop with fewer than 4 sign ups. We will inform you at least 24 hours before the workshop if there is cancellation due to low registration. If you cannot attend the rescheduled date, you will receive a refund. If we have no registrations up to 7 days before the workshop, unless otherwise noted in the description, we may cancel or reschedule. Please book in advance or let us know you're planning to book. Please note that we may take photos during the workshop to use on social media. If you do wish to be photographed, please let the teacher know when you arrive. If you are sick, please stay home. Call or email to let us know that you are not coming. You will receive a credit for a future class. By signing up for a class or workshop hosted by Small Space Art Collective you agree to the terms and conditions stated here. You hereby release Small Space Art Collective or any person or persons acting on its behalf from liability for any bodily injuries sustained, or for loss or damage of any personal articles while on the premises or participating in an activity sponsored or hosted by Small Space Art Collective. Furthermore the undersigned agrees that in the event medical attention is required due to accident or illness, Small Space Art Collective shall, without accepting fiscal responsibility, seek such medical services as it deems necessary and appropriate through EMs/911 and/or local hospitals.
