Service Description

This series is for those who have mastered basic embroidery and want to expand their skills. You'll learn intermediate and advanced stitches like raised stitches, chain stitch variations, french knots, and blanket stitch, while exploring how to combine them for complex, beautiful patterns. We’ll also discuss how to apply these new techniques to real projects. This class is the second session in a two-part series. Each class is independent and booked separately. Participants can book both or either one, however we recommend signing up for both! The stitches covered will be different in each class, but are of similar complexity. Stitches learned include: Session 1: attached fly, ribbed web, couched filling 1, compact chain, woven picot Session 2: leaf, woven spider web, couched filling 2, wheatear, bullion knot. Materials: Fabric and some threads are provided. We have hoops, needles, threaders, and scissors to borrow during the session, but if you have your own preferred tools you're welcome to bring them. Prerequisites: Embroidery 101 Course at Small Space or basic knowledge of embroidery (basic stitches, threading, and handling fabric and needles). Min 2 / Max 8 Participants. About the Instructor Romina Oneto / Fiber Artist Romina is a Chilean engineer, mother of three, and a passionate crafter. She has dedicated herself to the world of fiber arts and design, studying Tambour Embroidery at Hand and Lock and Haute Couture Bead Embroidery with Marco Jerez. Romina has taught various techniques in Chile and Argentina, including hand embroidery, beadwork, tambour, sashiko, crochet, and soutache. She combines her technical expertise with her creative spirit, sharing her knowledge and love for intricate, handmade artistry.

Cancellation Policy

Our Policies: Please arrive 10 minutes early for your workshop. Workshops start on time. If you are more that 15 minutes late for your class, you may forfeit your chance to take the class. You may cancel for a refund up to 20 days before the workshop. After that, workshop fees are not refundable or transferable. You may reschedule for a different workshop up to 15 days before the workshop, and up to 7 days if for the same workshop within the following 3 months. We reserve the right cancel or reschedule a workshop with fewer than 4 sign ups. We will inform you at least 24 hours before the workshop if there is cancellation due to low registration. If you cannot attend the rescheduled date, you will receive a refund. If we have no registrations up to 7 days before the workshop, unless otherwise noted in the description, we may cancel or reschedule. Please book in advance or let us know you're planning to book. Please note that we may take photos during the workshop to use on social media. If you do wish to be photographed, please let the teacher know when you arrive. If you are sick, please stay home. Call or email to let us know that you are not coming. You will receive a credit for a future class. By signing up for a class or workshop hosted by Small Space Art Collective you agree to the terms and conditions stated here. You hereby release Small Space Art Collective or any person or persons acting on its behalf from liability for any bodily injuries sustained, or for loss or damage of any personal articles while on the premises or participating in an activity sponsored or hosted by Small Space Art Collective. Furthermore the undersigned agrees that in the event medical attention is required due to accident or illness, Small Space Art Collective shall, without accepting fiscal responsibility, seek such medical services as it deems necessary and appropriate through EMs/911 and/or local hospitals.
