Service Description

Join us for a relaxed and supportive sewing class where you'll learn sewing techniques and bring your creative vision to life. Our class meets every 1st and 3rd Saturday morning from 10am to noon, and is perfect for beginners who want to develop their skills at their own pace. Class Details: When: Every 1st and 3rd Saturday morning from 10am to noon Where: Small Space Art Collective Who: Beginners and those with basic sewing skills How It Works: Personalized Learning: Our teacher will provide guidance and support tailored to your individual needs and aspirations. Flexible Projects: Choose a project that excites you and watch your skills grow with each class. Home Practice: Work on your projects at home between classes at your own pace. Monthly Enrollment: Sign up for the 2-session class each month to ensure your spot. Sign up early to ensure your spot! After your first sign up the teacher will contact you to discuss what you'd like to work on and how to prep for the first class. What to Bring: - Consumable materials (fabric, thread, trims, notions, sewing machine needles) - Optional: Your own sewing machine Pre-requisite or skills required: - Intro to Sewing Workshop at Small Space OR these skills: - Basic sewing skills including how to thread a sewing machine, how to sew different seams, how to wind bobbins, how to change needles Don't miss out! About the Instructor Cecilia Ostberg, co-owner of Small Space Art Collective, brings a global perspective to her art and teaching. Growing up on the south coast of Sweden, she now flourishes in sunny Southern California, surrounded by her community, husband, two cats and a Chiweenie. Cecilia's a lifelong creative spirit, always eager to learn new craft techniques. From garment sewing to jewelry making, her passion lies in handmade creations and artistic exploration. Her travels infuse her work with a unique blend of Scandinavian heritage and Southern California vibes.

Cancellation Policy

Our Policies: Please arrive 10 minutes early for your workshop. Workshops start on time. If you are more that 15 minutes late for your class, you may forfeit your chance to take the class. You may cancel for a refund up to 20 days before the workshop. After that, workshop fees are not refundable or transferable. You may reschedule for a different workshop up to 15 days before the workshop, and up to 7 days if for the same workshop within the following 3 months. We reserve the right cancel or reschedule a workshop with fewer than 4 sign ups. We will inform you at least 24 hours before the workshop if there is cancellation due to low registration. If you cannot attend the rescheduled date, you will receive a refund. If we have no registrations up to 7 days before the workshop, unless otherwise noted in the description, we may cancel or reschedule. Please book in advance or let us know you're planning to book. Please note that we may take photos during the workshop to use on social media. If you do wish to be photographed, please let the teacher know when you arrive. If you are sick, please stay home. Call or email to let us know that you are not coming. You will receive a credit for a future class. By signing up for a class or workshop hosted by Small Space Art Collective you agree to the terms and conditions stated here. You hereby release Small Space Art Collective or any person or persons acting on its behalf from liability for any bodily injuries sustained, or for loss or damage of any personal articles while on the premises or participating in an activity sponsored or hosted by Small Space Art Collective. Furthermore the undersigned agrees that in the event medical attention is required due to accident or illness, Small Space Art Collective shall, without accepting fiscal responsibility, seek such medical services as it deems necessary and appropriate through EMs/911 and/or local hospitals.
